FORMAT: A match play competition with each player in the field competing individually against every other player. A participant plays their own ball through the stipulated round and results are tabulated by a Monster Match Play proprietary computer program.
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: A minimum of 10 players from each qualifying site will be invited to play for the Pennsylvania State Championship, Saturday, October 9th at Golden Oaks Golf Club, Fleetwood, PA. The tournament committee will notify all qualifiers.
RULES: The Rules of Golf 2010-2011 govern all play but local rules may be substituted.
HANDICAPS: Players must have a U.S.G.A. Index or other verifiable handicap. Players without a verifiable handicap must play at scratch. Handicap strokes in each individual match will be determined by the differentials between players.
EVENT SCORING: Final results will be determined by total points earned by each player:
- Match Won: 10 Points
- Match Halved: 5 Points
- Match Lost: 0 Points
TIE BREAKERS:
- Number of total matches won
- Result of head-to-head 18 hole match
- Result of head-to-head final nine hole match
- Result of head-to-head final six hole match
- Result of head-to-head final three hole match
- Result of head-to-head final hole match
